Hueytown police chief Chuck Hagler says Kevin Duane Dudley, 41, was the man seen in a survelliance video committing the armed robbery of a Subway sandwich shop on Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive on Oct. 20.
Dudley is also believed to be have robbed other businesses, apparently to feed a drug habit.
He was also a suspect in the slaying of Devellyn Joe Wilson, 54, who was found dead in a Bessemer motel room on Sept. 10.
The owner of the Bait Shop in Bessemer shot and killed Dudley during an attempted robbery there on Tuesday.
